Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League: Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat Hasaacas Ladies to emerge winners

Ampem Darkoa Ladies have won the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League final after defeating Hasaacas Ladies 5-3 on penalties at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Complex.

The match ended 1-1 in regulation time after Doris Boadwaa had put the Hasmal ladies in the lead but was cancelled out by Serwaa Amponsah Ophelia.

The game travelled to extra time with nothing to separate the two sides but Ampem Darkoa came out on top via penalty spot.

The champions represent Ghana in the Women’s WAFU Zone B tournament which serves as qualifier for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
