Lyon are on a four-match losing streak ahead of Friday night’s home match with Toulouse in Ligue 1. Peter Bosz faces a must-win game for Lyon on Friday night. The Lyon manager could be sacked if Lyon do not win the fixture.

Toulouse are coming off an impressive 4-2 win against Montpellier at home. Les Violets are in their first season back in Ligue 1. They sit 12th in the league with 11 points from nine games.

Philippe Montanier led Toulouse to two wins from their last three games, but both matches were at the Stadium TFC.

Lyon and Toulouse last met in 2019-20 in Ligue 1, as they did the double over Les Violets by a score of 7-1. Les Gones went unbeaten in their last six games versus Toulouse in all competitions.

In fact, 11 of Lyon’s last 12 matches versus Toulouse ended in wins. Lyon have scored at least two goals in their last 12 matches against Toulouse in all competitions. In recent seasons this is a fixture that Lyon win.

Bosz’s side took six points from the last six games, and each of the last four matches in Ligue 1 ended in defeat. Les Gones outscored their last six opponents 9-8.

Toulouse also picked up six points from the last six matches in Ligue 1. They were outscored 12-5 across the last six matches. Four of Toulouse’s five goals scored were against Montpellier on matchday No. 9.

Bosz has several players receiving treatment at Lyon ahead of the match. Defender Malo Gusto is a doubt with an injury, and midfielder Corentin Tolisso has a thigh injury, making him a doubt to play.

Defender Castello Lukeba could miss out due to a muscle problem. Romain Faivre is a doubt following a thigh injury, while striker Moussa Dembele could return following a muscle injury. Goalkeeper Julian Pollersbeck is ruled out until January with a knee injury.

Toulouse manager Montanier will be without defender Mikkel Desler due to a red card suspension. Midfielder Rafael Ratao has a thigh strain and could miss the fixture. Forward Rhys Healey is out of action following an ACL injury and won’t return until April.

Lyon have a strong head-to-head record against Toulouse in the teams’ last 12 matches. Les Gones are in poor form but should win to keep Bosz in the job. Lyon should post a 2-1 victory, which would take them into the top six on Friday night.
