According to a source, Liverpool and Manchester United have been quoted a £59 million fee for Monaco player Aurelien Tchouameni.
The 22-year-old has been associated with a number of prominent European teams ahead of a probable transfer during the forthcoming transfer window, following a pair of successful seasons in Ligue 1.
Monaco have said that they will require a price of €70 million (£58.9 million) from interested teams to acquire the Frenchman’s services, according to AS.
The report indicates that the sum is likely to be prohibitively expensive for Real Madrid, Juventus, and Chelsea, all of which are interested in signing Tchouameni at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Arsenal, however, are thought to have entered the hunt for the midfielder in recent days, while Manchester City have also been linked with the former Bordeaux man.
Tchouameni has made 32 Ligue 1 appearances this season, scoring one goal and contributing one assist to aid his club to a current seven-game winning run as they seek Champions League qualification next season.
