English Premier League side Liverpool has made their approach for Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay.
The Champions League finalists are in talks with the Dons over a potential deal for the 18-year-old. It’s understood that an initial £4m fee is being discussed, with add-ons that could see the overall figure rise to around £6m.
As reported by Sky Sports News earlier this week that personal terms are not believed to be an issue and that Ramsay’s preferred choice is Liverpool, over a host of interested clubs from England, Italy and Germany.
If the deal on the table goes through, it would be Aberdeen’s highest-ever fee received for a transfer.
Their current record is £3m from Nottingham Forest for Scott McKenna. The Dons have also received an extra £1m for the centre-back this summer after Forest were promoted to the Premier League.
