Liverpool went on top of the Premier League table with a 4-0 win over Manchester United on Tuesday night.
The win extended the Reds’ unbeaten record in the league to 13 matches having come into the game with a morale-boosting win over Man City who are their only challengers for the league title.
They took the lead inside five minutes when Sadio Mané played Trent Alexander-Arnold into acres of space, and the wing-back found the unmarked Luis Díaz with a pinpoint pass for the Colombian to tap in from point-blank range.

In a dominant first half by the hosts, they doubled their advantage not long after when Mané’s clever chipped ball over the top played Mohamed Salah in, and the Egyptian shot past David de Gea and into the left corner.
Despite coming back in the second half a changed team following the introduction of Jadon Sancho for Phil Jone, United found themselves three goals behind when Liverpool countered and Díaz chipped a cross into the area for Mané to calmly side-footed his first-time shot into the right corner to put Klopp’s side out of sight.
Liverpool have won both league games against Manchester United without conceding for the first time since the 1963/64 season.

Salah added extra gloss to the scoreline in the closing stages when he dinked the ball over de Gea to take the aggregate scoreline for the head-to-head matches this season to 9-0.
