Argentina and PSG superstar Lionel Messi has been named The Best FIFA Men’s Player for 2022.
The 35 year old beat off competition from Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema to scoop the award for a record 7th time.
Messi deservedly won the accolade after guiding his nation to FIFA World Cup glory in Qatar last year.
The former Barcelona talisman starred at the global showpiece with seven goals and three assists in seven games and won the Golden Ball trophy.
He has also enjoyed a superb season with PSG so far, registering 16 goals and 14 assists in 27 games across competitions.
