French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais are yet to bid for Ghana’s Alidu Seidu despite being interested in signing Black Stars defender as it is being reported by French outlet L’equipe.

The interest is said to be concrete and negotiations for the Africa Cup of Nations bound defender are ongoing but there is no official bid on the table.

Speculations suggest that Alidu Seidu might have already played his final game for Clermont, and there is potential for him to become a Rennes player following the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ouest France initially disclosed the substantial interest in the 23-year-old Ghanaian international defender by Stade Rennais. Although discussions have commenced, no formal offer has been tabled at this point.

Known for his versatility in central defense or as a right-back, Seidu has participated in 14 Ligue 1 matches this season, showcasing his adaptability on the field.

Having made a significant impact in the last three seasons for Clermont Foot, Alidu Seidu’s potential departure raises questions about Clermont Foot’s willingness to part with one of their standout players as they strive to maintain their Ligue 1 status.
