Ghana had been looking for its first Nations Cup win in 26 years, but instead had to watch as spectators as Egypt lifted her 6th title at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.

Failure to win has left a feeling of despair among Ghanaians, but LeRoy says when everyone is over the disappointment, they will realise it will not be too long before this team will dominate African football, whether he is in charge or not.

_quote “It doesn’t matter what happens to me, the Black Stars will achieve a lot in future, he told KickOffGhana.com.

“It is a young team, full of hungry players. Sometimes people forget that. When they recover from the shock of failing to win here, they will be one of the best teams around,” he added.

Ghana’s inability to make use of the chances they created at the tournament worked against the team in the final analysis and LeRoy admits that in order to move forward, the Black Stars must become more decisive in front of goal.

“I think some players must be bolder in front of goal and be more patient. We need to have better killer instincts. I want that when the players have a chance to score, they enjoy the moment and are happy not be afraid. We were afraid in front of goal at this tournament.”
