Leicester City and Leeds United will meet in the Premier League this Thursday night as two teams sit in the bottom half of the table with both managers needing to make a statement here at the King Power Stadium.

No other manager in the league right now is under more pressure than Brendan Rodgers and in some ways, he is still lucky to be at the helm of Leicester.

Currently, the Foxes are in the relegation zone after racking up just five points in the league with a sole victory on the board all season long.

This win came just two weeks back as Rodgers’ side annihilated bottom-placed Nottingham Forest 4-0 to move above them in the table.

However, despite beating Steve Cooper’s side, the Foxes only sit above Forest on goals difference right now, having now moved off the bottom of the table following a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace last time out.

On the other hand, Forest’s draw with Brighton pushes them back into 20th in the Premier League.

Regardless of what happens in the Midlands this week, Leicester will be in the bottom three until at least the weekend.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are four points clear of them after their loss to Palace, but Leicester can move above 18th-placed Southampton if they get the job done here and Southampton lose their game.

Nevertheless, with 24 goals let in already after just 10 games alongside also lost seven defeats, hope is running very low at the King Power.

Leeds have nine points so far in the league and have won three games compared to Leicester’s one. At the same time, however, they have a decent record of just 13 goals let in so far and 11 goals scored of their own.

What’s more, Jesse Marsch’s side have a game in hand in the Premier League, which should they win, they could launch themselves all the way up into 11th, if other results go their way.

Both teams are also coming into this one with injuries to worry about. Ricardo Pereira is going to be out of action until February, and the worries continue for the Foxes with star man, James Maddison, now suspended. Injuries continue with Jonny Evans and Ryan Bertrand in defence too.

Stuart Dallas is still out for some time and won’t return until 2023 for Leeds, and Adam Forshaw, Leo Fuhr Hjelde and Archie Gray may all have to wait until the weekend to come back to action.

Forebet predicts a rare win here for Leicester and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
