Leeds United and Manchester United will go at it once again this Sunday afternoon with the clubs meeting on Wednesday in a thrilling draw at Old Trafford that saw the Whites lose a 2-0 lead with Jadon Sancho stealing the show.

Practically every time these two have met since Leeds’ promotion back into the Premier League in 2020, it’s been a sensational watch.

There was one 0-0 game a while back at Elland Road, but other than this, it’s a fixture that brings in goals galore, plenty of bookings and more than enough entertainment for us.

This was no different on Wednesday night as Leeds took the lead inside one minute from Wilfried Gnoto. The Italian has been sensational since joining the Leeds first team and he has also now become the youngest foreign away goalscorer in Premier League history at Old Trafford.

Leeds were excellent during the first half and although United ended up having 24 shots and seven of those hit the target, in the end, it was the Whites who left most pleased and with great hope in getting something out of this weekend’s clash as well.

The Red Devils did certainly come on in the second half, but Leeds continued to threaten throughout the match.

In fact, just three minutes into the second half, Raphael Varane tapped in an own goal off the cross of Gnoto once more, as Leeds took a 2-0 lead.

Marcus Rashford replied with a stunning team goal for United that he tapped in from close range. Jadon Sancho then came off the bench and was a revelation on the right hand side for United.

The former Borussia Dortmund man scored his first goal in many months when he came on and he was arguably United’s best player, despite coming onto the pitch so late.

The draw keeps the Whites just two points above the relegation zone following on from Jesse Marsch’s sacking. At the same time, there are no games in hand to play anymore and it simply comes down to weekly results at the minute.

As for Erik ten Hag’s men, they head into this game knowing that they could be behind Newcastle United in the table once more as they play on Saturday instead.

Forebet now predicts a United win and for the game to see over 2.5 goals and another frantic game just like we witnessed on Wednesday night in Manchester.
