Leeds United will welcome Aston Villa to Elland Road on Sunday for the final match of the day. The Whites need to stop a three-game winless streak, but Aston Villa are unbeaten in back-to-back league games.
Steven Gerrard remains on the hot seat at Aston Villa. He picked up four points from the last two games with a 1-1 draw against Man City and a 1-0 win against Southampton. Gerrard still has plenty of critics, and fans are not convinced he is the right manager.

Jesse Marsch got off to a good start at Leeds with seven points from the opening nine on offer. A 3-0 win against Chelsea showcased the positive aspects of Leeds United under Marsch’s leadership.
However, their last three games finished with just one point from nine possible.
Villa picked up four points from six from Leeds United last term by a combined score of 6-3. Aston Villa won 3-0 at Elland Road after drawing 3-3 at home.
Gerrard’s team may have won twice against Leeds a season ago, but it is in poor form away from home.
Aston Villa are on a four-match losing streak away from home in the league. In their last four away games, Aston Villa conceded at least 2.0 goals to opponents.
Leeds United have played their best football at Elland Road this season, taking seven points from their opening three fixtures. The Whites outscored opponents 6-2 in their three opening home games.
Marsch has two players in the Elland Road treatment room ahead of the weekend. Stuart Dallas has a thigh injury and will miss the game.
Rodrigo Moreno will also miss the game following a shoulder separation in early September. Rodrigo is a massive miss for Marsch. The Spaniard has four goals this season in five appearances.
Leeds United have not had the injury problems this season they experienced under Marcelo Bielsa. Marsch has benefitted from a relatively healthy squad.
Gerrard will be without four players for the trip to Yorkshire. Matty Cash has a thigh injury, and Boubacar Kamara is nursing a knee injury. Lucas Digne is recovering from a foot problem, while Diego Carlos remains sidelined with a calf problem.
Carlos has been a bust this season after joining from Sevilla in the offseason. Villa scored six goals in the league with six different players scoring. Gerrard needs to find consistency now.
Unfortunately, the ex-Liverpool midfielder won’t get it. Leeds United should continue their solid home form with a 2-0 win at full-time.
