Ghanaian striker Derek Asamoah will know his future at English third-tier side Carlisle United after Saturday’s trip to Newport.

The former Asante Kotoko player is on a short-term deal which will expire after this weekend’s game.

Three other players Kyle Dempsey, Connor Brown and Tom Anderson will also have their contracts reviewed.

“We’ve had a short period of time when all the focus has been on games. Contract issues will be addressed in the early part of this week when we have a clearer mind,” Carlisle manager Keith Curle told the club’s official website.

“They’re all things that need to be dealt with. With a clear head, we will sit down and strategise where we go from here.

“There are other things that need to happen, players that aren’t getting game-time that we will be looking to get game-time. If that means elsewhere, so be it.”
