The former France captain of Ghanaian descent has been in Accra over the last week working on his charity projects and told KickOffGhana.com he likes what he has seen with some aspects of the League. “The League is growing and everyday there is one sponsor or the other coming in. It’s a good thing but only if we can build up on that,” he said. With international television deals now secured for the local League, the Professional League Board has solved a major problem but Desailly like most Ghanaians thinks the real remains the Black Stars and is confident the team can reach the 2010 World Cup. “I have a good vibe about the team now and feel they can do it. In football you need confidence and we have that now. We also have the foundation of quality players. I am not sure of winning the World Cup but potentially we can do very well if we qualify for the World Cup.”
