It’s business time in the 2023/24 Premier League season as we hurtle downhill at full speed towards the climax of the campaign. Europe-chasing Newcastle and Tottenham get the ball rolling at lunch time on Saturday and there’s another potential banana skin for Manchester United at Bournemouth at 5.30pm.

There’s three Sunday matches but it’s Liverpool v Crystal Palace in the early slot on the box before Aston Villa head to Arsenal in what should be a cracking clash. Finally it’s Chelsea against Everton on Monday Night Football with The Toffees desperate for points in their fight against relegation.

So, with so much action to get stuck in to, it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who’s champing at the bit to two-foot game week 31 on the calendar.

TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate

This is a biggie, it should be a good game. I’m going to go for Spurs because of the way they play and the fact that Newcastle are not great at the back. They concede a lot of goals and they’ve got plenty of injuries. Newcastle 1-2 Tottenham.

I fancy Brentford here, I think they’re going to come with a good run now. Their strike force is back and they’re starting to score a few. They’re a different team now and there’s not a lot going for Sheffield United. Brentford 2-0 Sheffield United.

Burnley will do well to have 25% of the ball. Brighton are very inconsistent, I saw them against Liverpool and they were very good for the first 20 minutes but as soon as they had a goal scored against them they folded. I think they’ll beat Burnley though. Burnley 0-2 Brighton.

Good luck Luton, what else can you say? The goals that Manchester City scored against Real Madrid… wow. Luton might get a few chances because they get the ball forward quick but they won’t get anything from the game. Manchester City 4-0 Luton.

Wolves were robbed last week with that crazy goal that was disallowed from the corner and Nottingham Forest really need a win. I’ll go with Forest to win this as they really, really need it. Nottingham Forest 2-1 Wolves.

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Manchester United got a really good point against Liverpool last weekend but I’m still not quite sure how. Liverpool missed so many chances but I’ll give United the win here. Bournemouth lost to Luton last time which isn’t all that special so it’s United to win just about. Bournemouth 1-2 Manchester United.

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

I’m at this game and I expect a big Liverpool win. They can’t keep creating so many chances and not scoring. I think they’ll get plenty of chances against Palace so they’ll be fine. Liverpool 3-0 Crystal Palace.

Fulham have been a bit strange, very, very inconsistent, so I fancy West Ham to get the points. West Ham 2-1 Fulham.

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

I fancy Arsenal with home advantage. They had that great game against Bayern Munich during the week but they keep churning out results. I’m a bit worried about Aston Villa’s high line away from home and Arsenal can take advantage. Arsenal 2-0 Aston Villa.

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

I’m not sure what those two points Everton were docked is all about, it’s hard to understand thinking from the league, but you just don’t know what you’re going to get from Chelsea. This could be a dour draw. Chelsea 1-1 Everton.
