Black Stars midfielder Lawrence Agyekum has rejoined Cercle Brugge in Belgium to start pre-season training for the 2025/26 campaign.
The 21-year-old cut short his holidays to report for duty on the first day of preparation, alongside some of his teammates.
Agyekum was welcomed by fans who took photos and autographs with the players.
On his first day back, Agyekum hit the gym before participating in recovery drills. Last season, he had a standout campaign while on loan from Red Bull Salzburg, which led to Cercle Brugge signing him permanently on a four-year deal.
Despite his new long-term contract, Agyekum remains on the radar of clubs in France and England.
Agyekum has also been making strides with the Black Stars, making his debut in March during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and scoring his first goal at the Unity Cup in London.
Before returning to Brugge, he spent time in Ghana playing in the All Star Games.
With his talent and recent performances, Agyekum is expected to play a key role for both Cercle Brugge and the Black Stars in the upcoming season.
