Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston has disclosed his ambition to manage a major first team within the next five years.

The 45-year-old has accumulated coaching experience at youth level, including stints with Danish club Nordsjaelland’s U-18 side and Ghana’s U-17 Black Starlets.

Currently, he oversees Uganda’s junior national teams, the U-17 and U-20 squads, on a two-year contract.

“We want to be leading one of the big teams across the world in the next five years,” Kingston told Sporty FM.

He added, “I want to find myself leading a team in the AFCON, and then, if not, in a first-team environment anywhere across the world. That is my target in the next five years.”

Kingston emphasized that his coaching journey is built on experience, patience, and strategic career planning.

He also revealed his openness to taking charge of Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, “if the environment is right.”

His current role in Uganda has allowed him to develop young talent while gaining tactical and managerial experience at international youth level.

With Africa’s top competitions and club football in his sights, Kingston aims to make the leap to senior first-team management in the near future.
