Former Hearts of Oak defender Larry Sumaila has named Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal as the player he is looking up to.
The enterprising right-back recently joined Ghana Premier League newcomers Samartex on a three-year deal after being released by the Phobians in July.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the 25-year-old disclosed the Spanish defender has been his inspiration growing up as a player.
“I look up to a lot of players but I love players who have energy, so for me, I looking up to Dani Carvajal of Real Madrid because he has the capability to attack and defend as well as a right back. As a player, you need to be on your topmost form to be able to deliver when called up” he said.
He is expected to play a huge role for Samartex in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign.
