Both teams needed solid results on the road to escape relegation heading into the last weekend of the league season, and they answered with wins against Alaves and Osasuna, respectively.
Cadiz’s comeback was the more spectacular of the two storylines, with the team still in the bottom three at 0-0 in the Basque Country into the last 15 minutes when Anthony Lozano went around his man to poke home the winner.

Mallorca’s journey to already relegated Alaves was a lot easier for the visitors, as veteran striker Angel Rodriguez put them ahead with a beautiful finish shortly after the interval.
Clement Grenier’s late goal gave Mallorca a crucial three points, but Granada’s 0-0 draw at home to Espanyol means they will be relegated to the Segunda Division next season.
