Former President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has schooled the current administration as they head into the search of new Black Stars coach stating they should look beyond big names.
The country’s football governing body fired Chris Hughton after Ghana had a disastrous campaign at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire
Ghana suffered an early exit from the continental showpiece after failing to record a single win in three matches to make it to knockout stages of the competition.
The association has formed a five-man committee led by vice president Mark Addo to find a new manager for the Black Stars.
“If we look at big names only, we will bring the same recycle people (coaches) here at the end of four years, we will be back to square one,” Nyantakyi said on GTV.
The Black Stars will return to action in March when they will clash with World champions Argentina in an international friendly.
