Former Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi has eulogized late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu who died tragically after being a victim of the deadly Turkey earthquakes.
The 31-year-old was confirmed dead on Saturday after being trapped under the rubble for 12 days in his collapsed apartment in Hatay.
The 31-year-old is one of over 40,000 people who have been killed as a result of the natural disaster.
Speaking on Hot FM Nyantakyi said: “He was a very reserved and good player. Infact, he is as good off the pitch as he is on the pitch.”
“I can say that under my tenure he [Atsu] can be said to be the most talented player I have worked with, a very disciplined and multi skilled player, it will be very difficult to get a player like him again.” He remarked.
The former Chelsea and Newcastle star was capped 65 for Black Stars between 2012 and 2019, including the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named player of the tournament.
