Former Ghana international Kwesi Appiah has signed a one-year contract with Ebbsfleet United, marking a return to the club where he began his professional career.
The 34-year-old forward joins from Boreham Wood FC, where he scored 24 goals last season, helping the team secure promotion.
Appiah is looking to build on that success at a club he holds close to his heart.
“I cherished starting my career here and it was a really important ingredient in coming back,” Appiah said. “Now I’m hoping to achieve a very successful season for the team and the club… and it’s why I’m driven to score goals and to drive the standards around the club.”
Appiah made his first-team debut for Ebbsfleet in 2008, scoring once in five appearances before moving on in 2009.
Over the years, he went on to play for several English clubs, including Crystal Palace, AFC Wimbledon, and Crawley Town. His time in the Premier League was cut short by a series of injuries.
He also had a stint in the Indian Super League with NorthEast United FC before returning to English football.
Appiah has been capped seven times by Ghana and was part of the Black Stars squad that reached the final of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
