Former Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah has been named as the new trainer of the Sudan national team.
The former Ghana international has reportedly signed a three-year deal with The Secretarybirds.
Appiah is widely known in Sudan following his stints with top-flight side Al-Khartoum before returning for the Black Stars coaching job.
He led Ghana to the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil where Ghana finished bottom in a group containing eventual winners, Germany, Portugal and USA.
Appiah was recently appointed as a member of Asante Kotoko SC Interim Management Committee as the technical head and also entrusted him with player recruitment for the 2023-24 campaign.
The experienced trainer is task to build a formidable team ahead of upcoming games after they have failed to qualify for the 2023 African Cup of Nations tournament to be staged in Ivory Coast.
