Kwasi Wriedt returns to 3. Liga, signs with Alemannia Aachen

Ghanaian forward Kwasi Okyere Wriedt has sealed a return to Germany’s 3. Liga, joining Alemannia Aachen from Turkish side Şanlıurfaspor for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old marks his comeback to a league where he’s left a lasting impression, having previously claimed the top scorer title three times; twice with Bayern Munich II.

With 71 goals in the division to his name, Wriedt arrives in Aachen as one of the most proven goal-getters in the league’s recent history.

Wriedt spent the 2024/25 season in Turkey’s second tier, where he featured in 37 matches and scored six goals for Şanlıurfaspor.

His move adds another chapter to a career that has seen him play in multiple European leagues, including stints in the Dutch Eredivisie with Willem II and the German 2. Bundesliga with VfL Osnabrück.

Wriedt brings international pedigree and seasoned experience to an Aachen side looking to climb the 3. Liga table. His familiarity with the German football system, combined with his eye for goal, makes him a valuable addition to the club’s attacking setup.

For Alemannia Aachen, the signing represents a strong statement of intent. With a forward of Wriedt’s caliber leading the line, the club will hope to mount a serious push in the upcoming season.

Wriedt’s return to familiar territory gives him a fresh chance to cement his legacy as one of the 3. Liga’s standout strikers; this time in black and yellow.
