Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo experienced mixed emotions after featuring for Real Oviedo in their La Liga showdown with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old, making just his second appearance in Spain’s top flight, came close to scoring when his effort struck the post.
However, Oviedo’s fightback fell short as the visitors cruised to a 3-0 win at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere.
French star Kylian Mbappé grabbed a brace before substitute Vinícius Júnior added a late third to secure victory for Los Blancos.
Reflecting on the game, Sibo expressed both pride and frustration in a post on Instagram: “A bittersweet feeling after so much effort during the 90 minutes. Thanks for the great atmosphere yesterday.”
The hardworking midfielder, already adored by Oviedo fans, remains confident of better days ahead: “We’ll experience our first victory together soon.”
Real Oviedo, still chasing their maiden win of the season, will be looking to bounce back when they return to action at the Carlos Tartiere on August 30.
