Former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah has temporarily resigned from his position as an Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) due to a conflict of interest.
Appiah’s dual roles as head coach of Sudan’s national team and GFA Executive Council Member raised concerns, particularly with Sudan set to face Ghana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) intervened, citing its statutes and FIFA’s Code of Ethics.

Ghana seeks to revive its AFCON qualification hopes by securing six points against Sudan after an uninspiring start to the campaign.
The Black Stars, currently third in their group with one point, will begin training in Accra on Monday.
The first leg of the game between Ghana and Sudan will take place on Thursday, October 10, at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by the second leg on October 15 in Libya.
