Ghanaian youngster Nana Kwame Boakye has bid farewell to Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol after completing a switch to Norwegian club SK Brann.
The 19-year-old centre-back signed a four-year contract with Brann during the summer transfer window, ending his short but impressive stint in Moldova.
Boakye became a key figure for Sheriff despite spending just nine months there, featuring 43 times across competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
In a heartfelt post, he expressed gratitude to Sheriff for making him feel at home: “Working with you was such an amazing feeling, you made me feel at home with all the laughter, joy, smiles and most importantly the team work.
“You all were not just team mates to me but family, thank you for believing in me and giving me a chance with the team. I will always be grateful. Wishing you all the best,” he wrote.
The defender also spoke of his delight after sealing his Norwegian move: “Words cannot express how joyful I am to be part of this amazing team and I want to assure you that I will give my all in all to the progress of the team and to follow all rules and regulations ruled out by the team and to be friendly and homely to all team members thank you,” he added.
