Ghanaian forward Kwaku Karikari has joined Serbian SuperLiga side FK Zeleznicar Pancevo on a season-long loan from Danish second-tier club AC Horsens.
The 23-year-old returns to familiar ground, having previously enjoyed a successful stint in Serbia with Jedinstvo Ub from 2022 to 2024.
During that period, he netted 29 goals and provided 16 assists in 68 appearances, earning a reputation as one of the league’s most influential foreign players.
Karikari’s return has been met with optimism at Zeleznicar. The club announced his arrival, saying:”This is Karikari’s return to Serbian football, where he already left a deep mark. His arrival is a clear signal of our ambitions.”
Speaking to the club’s media team, Karikari shared his excitement about the move: “It was a difficult season for me at AC Horsens, but I gained a lot of experience. I’m fast, strong, and I score goals. This club is the right place for me to grow.”
A former Liberty Professionals striker, Karikari is yet to feature for Ghana’s senior national team but continues to be regarded as one of the country’s promising talents in European football.
