Ghanaian football legend, Asamoah Gyan has expressed admiration for his former teammate Kwadwo Asamoah, describing him as the most underrated player he has had the privilege of playing with.
During an appearance on TV3’s New Day, Gyan highlighted Asamoah’s remarkable career, emphasizing his achievements and contributions to the sport.
“Kwadwo Asamoah had a great career,” Gyan said. “Just look at the clubs he played for – Juventus, Udinese, Inter Milan… I think people really slept on him. He’s easily the most underrated Ghanaian player I’ve played with.”
Asamoah’s career is indeed marked by notable successes. He played a crucial role in Juventus’ dominance of the Serie A, helping the team secure six consecutive league titles.
His impressive performances earned him individual recognition, including the CAF Most Promising African Player award in 2010 and the Ghana Player of the Year award in both 2012 and 2013.
On the international stage, Asamoah represented Ghana in four Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and two FIFA World Cups.
