Fulham have completed the signing of teenage striker Jonah Kusi-Asare on loan from Bayern Munich, with the highly rated forward set to sharpen his game in the Premier League under Marco Silva.
The 18-year-old, who recently extended his contract in Germany, arrives in London aiming to make his top-flight debut when Fulham face Leeds United after the international break.
Born in Sweden to Ghanaian parents, Kusi-Asare is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting attacking prospects. He made his Bundesliga bow as a substitute in Bayern’s emphatic 6-0 win over RB Leipzig, further underlining his growing reputation.
His loan comes after Bayern’s capture of Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, whose arrival reduced Kusi-Asare’s chances of playing time under Vincent Kompany this season.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund backed the move, noting the club would closely follow his development.
“Jonah has developed very well with us over the past year and a half and was able to make his professional debut in his first full season in Munich. He has outstanding potential and should now gain further valuable experience at the highest European level. We are convinced he will take the next steps in his development and continue to mature at Fulham.”
