Ghana Football Association (GFA) President and CAF 2nd Vice President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has paid a morale-boosting visit to Bibiani Gold Stars FC as they gear up for their historic debut in the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
The visit, which took place at the team’s pre-season base at the University of Ghana’s Sarbah Field, forms part of Okraku’s nationwide tour to rally support for Ghanaian clubs participating in CAF inter-club competitions this season.
Gold Stars, winners of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, are set to represent Ghana in Africa’s elite club competition for the first time in their history.
The GFA President was accompanied by members of the Executive Council and engaged the technical team, players, and officials in a session designed to inspire and motivate.
The team also played a friendly match to showcase their readiness for the upcoming campaign.
Gold Stars’ qualification represents a landmark achievement, not only for the club but also for the entire Bibiani community, who have thrown their full support behind the team.
The GFA President’s hands-on engagement reflects his broader vision to strengthen domestic clubs and improve Ghana’s competitiveness on the continental stage.
As a CAF Vice President, Okraku continues to bridge local ambition with continental opportunity, bolstered by major initiatives such as the GFA’s broadcast partnership with Adesa Productions, aimed at transforming the Ghana Premier League’s commercial value.
