Kurt Okraku denies GFA-Startimes contract renewal talks

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has refuted claims that the Association has reached a five-year agreement with Startimes to extend their partnership in the coverage of the Ghana Premier League.

Kurt Okraku had previously confirmed the termination of the broadcast deal with StarTimes due to an outstanding debt of $950,000.

Okraku revealed that the GFA has been in negotiations with StarTimes to resolve the issue, but the agreement officially expired at the end of the 2023/24 football season.

In response to a post suggesting startimes and GFA had reached an agreement, Okraku wrote on Facebook: “False, just ignore.”
