President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku emphasizes that increasing stadium attendance in Ghana’s football matches requires a collaborative effort.
The issue of low turnout in the Ghana Premier League and other divisions has raised concerns among stakeholders, with some attributing it to e-ticketing and media coverage.
As the domestic top-tier league kicks off this weekend, the leader of the Ghana FA has reaffirmed the association’s commitment to enhancing stadium attendance.
He also urges clubs to take an active role in self-promotion and fostering better relations with the media, all aimed at achieving a common goal.
“I believe that everyone must contribute to encouraging fans to support our league. The GFA is determined to promote the league, and it’s equally crucial for clubs to market themselves and engage with the media to work towards our shared vision,” he stated.
“As we enter the new season, the GFA remains fully dedicated. Football has the power to unite, and we want to harness this platform to bring people together to enjoy our nation’s most beloved sport,” he added.
