The Ghanaian midfielder who was part of the Black Stars squad at the 2008 Nations Cup has lost his place in the national team but says the pleasure of doing well at club level has compensated for that. Kumordzie’s season is over with one round of matches remaining in the Greek League but he says his return of 9 goals in League and Cup as well overall performance makes it one to remember. “This season has been amazing for me,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “I can say it has been the best in my career because everything at club level has gone so well.” The brilliant form at club level has been a major source of pride for Kumordzie who has fallen down the pecking order in the national team. “If I was not playing regularly for my club then it will hurt but I know I am playing well so there is no problem there.” Kumordzie does not expect to be called up for the extensive session of qualifiers in June and much of that is due to the fact that he plays in Greece. “For some reason they don’t look in this direction but the likes of Derek Boateng, Peter Ofori Quaye and Sam Johnson all played here. I can’t understand why.”
