Mohammed Kudus says his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur will pave the way for more after helping the club secure a hard-fought 2-1 win over Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday.
The Ghanaian midfielder, who also assisted Mathys Tel’s opener, struck the decisive goal in the second half.
“It feels really good,” Kudus told Spursplay. “Something I’ve been working on for the past month, to score my first (Tottenham) goal and it will open doors for more to come.
“Sometimes it’s not about winning the first ball, it’s the reaction for the second ball and when I went inside, I just thought, ‘shoot in the corner’ and I’m so glad it went in.”
The win made Tottenham the first team to defeat Leeds at home in the league since September last year, underlining their strong start to life under Thomas Frank.
Kudus, who has now been involved in five league goals this season, will now turn his focus to national duty as Ghana prepare for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros later this month.
