In the aftermath of Egypt’s 2-2 draw against Ghana in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, Mohammed Kudus shared his perspective on Mohamed Salah’s departure from the pitch due to injury.
Despite Salah being a pivotal figure, Kudus emphasized the team’s collective focus on their own performance.
“We know he is a very top player,” Kudus acknowledged Salah’s significance but swiftly redirected attention to his own team, stating, “but my focus was on my team.”
Kudus underlined that regardless of Salah’s presence, the team approached the game with the same level of determination and commitment.
“With or without him, we still approached the game the same way,”
Ghana with just a point from two games will play Mozambique on Monday, January 22 in their last group game.
