Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has heaped praise on Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min, describing the South Korean star as a true role model on and off the pitch.
Kudus, who recently joined Spurs from West Ham in a high-profile move, revealed that playing alongside Son is a privilege, having admired him from afar — including their meeting at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
“I have so much respect and admiration for him,” Kudus said. “We played against each other in the World Cup. I just love how he plays.”
Son, known for his pace, finishing and humility, has long been a fan favourite and one of the most respected figures in world football. Kudus says sharing a dressing room with him is already proving inspirational.
“He has done a lot for the club and I’m grateful to have come here and played with him. He has been a great example for us, from how he trains and carries himself ; so big up to him.”
Kudus, 24, is hoping to follow in Son’s footsteps, both in performance and leadership, as he begins a new chapter in his Premier League journey.
