Kotoko’s title hopes fading – Club spokesperson after GoldStars draw
Asante Kotoko’s Communications Director, Samuel Sarfo Duku, has admitted that clinching the Ghana Premier League title will be a tough ask.
His comments come in the wake of Kotoko’s goalless draw with Bibiani Gold Stars at Dun’s Park on Sunday.
The result leaves the Porcupine Warriors trailing current leaders Nations FC by five points.
Despite the gap, Duku believes there’s still a mathematical chance for Kotoko to catch up.
“It’s-title ambition-still on because technically, it’s possible but it’s now a very difficult task for us, “Duku said.
“I have to admit, it has become very very difficult for us. Looking at how they [Nations FC] are playing, it will be very difficult for them to lose but that is what I am hoping.”
Kotoko will need to win their remaining matches and hope for a slip from Nations FC.
Their next fixture is a high-stakes encounter against Medeama SC.
