Asante Kotoko are set to open their pre-season camp on Wednesday, July 30, in Cape Coast as preparations begin in earnest for the 2025/26 football season.
The Porcupine Warriors recently returned to Ghana following their participation in the 2025 Toyota Cup, where they defeated South African heavyweights Kaizer Chiefs in a dramatic penalty shootout in Durban.
Head coach Karim Zito revealed plans for the next phase of preparations during a media briefing, noting that the players will be given a brief rest before regrouping.
“I shouldn’t go all out at the moment. We will start running very soon,” Zito stated.
“Maybe on Wednesday we’ll begin the pre-season camp in Cape Coast,” he added.
With the Toyota Cup now behind them, Kotoko’s focus shifts to the upcoming GHALCA Top 4 tournament, which kicks off from August 20–24 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The competition, along with their CAF Confederation Cup campaign, forms a crucial part of their buildup to the domestic season.
