Kotoko star Jordan Opoku shares in fans pain

Asante Kotoko ace Jordan Opoku says he empathizes with the club’s fans who have endured disappointing results this term.

The Porcupine Warriors have lost three of their last four league matches but had some respite last Wednesday with a 2-0 win over AshantiGold to reach the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup.

Opoku feels sorry for the fans who have had little to celebrate for their unflinching support.

“In the end, I am glad we won for the supporters. We have disappointed them enough and now they can also afford to laugh. We deserved the win because we dominated play and really fought for it,” Opoku told Asantekotokosc.com.

“This can boost our morale ahead of our next game against Bechem United and also give the supporters a good reason to come to the stadium to watch the game.”
