Kotoko set to beat Hearts to signature of this influential ex-Black Stars player [Asempa FM SportsNite] —

Asante Kotoko are pushing to sign the ex-Black Stars midfielder who glittered for Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League last season under Samuel Boadu.

According to Alex Kobina Stonne on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show on Thursday, Sulley Ali Muntari has agreed to a move away from Hearts of Oak as his contract with the club has expired.

Hearts’ sworn rivals, Asante Kotoko, have engaged the player and his representations with the parties agreeing to a fee.

However, according to further details shared by the sensational broadcast journalist, the deal has hit the snag over an agency fee.

The source further revealed that Kotoko are unhappy with the demands of an agency fee from Muntari’s wife Menaye Donkor.

Kotoko, 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title-holders, insist that there is no need for an agency fee since Hearts will pay Muntari any agency fee in his six-month deal with the Rainbow club.

Furthermore, the reports claimed that Kotoko are ready to pull the plugs off the deal should Muntari and his representatives fail to take away the agency fee.

Hearts would also want to engage the former Sunderland and AC Milan midfielder in a full-season deal as the Phobians prepare to participate in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League which kicks start next month.
