Asante Kotoko have officially presented their 2024/25 MTN FA Cup trophy to the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, following their narrow 2-1 victory over Golden Kick FC in Sunday’s final.
The Porcupine Warriors lifted their 11th FA Cup title at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, with Kwame Opoku netting twice; including a late penalty that sealed the win after Bless Ege had drawn Golden Kick level with a superb free-kick.
The team arrived in Kumasi on Monday and paid a courtesy visit to Otumfuo on Wednesday, June 18, to show appreciation for his unwavering support.
Leading the delegation were IMC Chairman Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, Board Chairman Kwesi Appiah, and Technical Director Malik Jabir.
Otumfuo lauded the team’s fighting spirit and encouraged them to step up preparations ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign next season.
