Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has opened up about his mixed experience in his debut season with the club.
Antwi joined the Porcupine Warriors in July on a free transfer after leaving Great Olympics and quickly made an impression.
He earned a call-up to the Black Stars for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger in November.
However, injuries and personal issues disrupted his momentum, limiting him to just 15 starts and nine appearances off the bench.
“It was a great start for me. After my call-up to the Black Stars, I had issues — injuries, personal issues… I would say it was 50/50,” he told the club’s media.
Despite the setbacks, Antwi is hopeful of ending the season on a high as Kotoko prepare to face Golden Kick in the FA Cup final on Sunday, June 14.
