Asante Kotoko forward us set to join the Black Stars for the first time in four years.
Opoku last teamed up with the Black Stars in 2021, in the lead up to the 2022 World Cup for two friendlies in June.
Since then, Opoku, who was then playing for Alger at the time of his call-up, has hardly got a look-in at the Black Stars despite managerial changes.
However, with a number of foreign-based players set to miss out on the competition, Opoku is looking to leave an imprint and a lasting impression on Otto Addo as he prepares to join the Black Stars camp in London for the 2025 Unity Cup.
“For Otto Addo to call me after this competition is a decision he has to make. But for me, if given the opportunity, I’ll play at my best and I’ll be grateful for whatever outcome,” he told Max TV.
The Black Stars will be looking to avenge their 2-1 defeat against Nigeria in March 2024 when they square off at Brentford’s G-tech Community Stadium.
