Asante Kotoko are in talks to sign Ghana U-20 attacking midfielder Benjamin Tsivanyo, but the player is holding off on a decision until after the ongoing WAFU B Cup of Nations in Prampram.
Tsivanyo, a former U-17 captain, is currently a free agent after Nsoatreman FC, which is his most recent club, withdrew from football activities following incidents of hooliganism.
The 16-year-old has previously featured for Great Olympics and is regarded as one of the brightest young midfielders in the country.
A source close to the player confirmed Kotoko’s interest and revealed that discussions have already started.
The Porcupine Warriors see Tsivanyo as a key addition to strengthen their squad ahead of next season’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
However, the player’s focus remains firmly on helping Ghana’s U-20 side secure success in the WAFU B tournament.
Kotoko are hopeful that once the tournament wraps up, the talented midfielder will commit to a deal.
