Headcoach of Asante Kotoko Prosper Narteh Ogum, has made an emotional appeal to his players to dedicate their performances to the late Yaw Frimpong, affectionately known as Nana Pooley.

Pooley, a devoted supporter of the club, tragically lost his life during a league match against Nsoatreman FC on February 2, 2025.

As the team resumed training on February 19, 2025, at the Adako Jachie training grounds, Ogum urged his squad to honor Pooley’s memory through their actions on the pitch.

“It’s unfortunate, but we must honor him by putting our best into every training session and match. We owe it to him, and I believe we are ready to do that,” Ogum stated.

“It won’t be easy to move on, but the best way we can truly honor him is by working hard, winning games, and ultimately securing the league title in his memory. Let’s stay united, stay focused, and get the results,” he added.
