Asante Kotoko coach Abdul Gazale voiced his frustration with the attitude and performance of his players following their recent string of poor results.
Speaking to reporters after their latest away defeat to Great Olympics, Gazale expressed his disappointment with his team’s inability to win matches away from home despite promising to do so.
“Looking at the attitude of the players, if you continue to keep on promising this way I don’t think I will be fair to myself because any time we think we are going to win an away match we end up giving the match out,” he told StarTimes.
The coach emphasized the need for his players to focus on picking up points one match at a time instead of looking too far ahead.
“If we are able to get on top of the league, fine but we cannot continue to play this way and expect to win the league,” Gazale added.
The defending champions currently sits in fitfth place in the Ghana Premier League, eight points adrift of the top spot occupied by two-time champions Aduana FC.
