Kofi Kyereh, the 29-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, has been spotted working hard in training with Freiburg, just over a month after resuming full-scale training.
Kyereh has been battling an ACL injury for over two years, undergoing surgery and rehabilitation in 2024, but faced setbacks that prolonged his absence.
The Ghana international had been limited to just 18 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist, before his injury.
Prior to his move to Freiburg, Kyereh enjoyed a productive spell at St. Pauli, registering 22 goals and 21 assists in 67 matches.
Kyereh’s return to training is a major boost for Freiburg and the Black Stars, with coach Otto Addo likely keeping a close eye on his progress ahead of future qualifying series.
