Kofi Kyereh predicts Ghana’s World Cup win in ‘future’

Ghana midfielder, Daniel Kofi Kyereh has believes the Black Stars will clinch the World Cup trophy sometime to come.

The furthest the West African side has gone is the quarter finals stage in 2010 where they were knocked out by Uruguay on penalties.

For the fourth time in Ghana’s history, they will be playing at the World Cup in Qatar.

Kofi Kyereh believes Ghana will win the coveted trophy one day.

“Yes! Ghana will receive the World Cup trophy one day,” Kyereh told GQ South Africa.

“I anticipate a fun tournament. And I expect us to represent our country to the best of our abilities, demonstrating to the world that we can compete with anyone,” he added.

Africa’s best result at the World Cup is the semi finals – Cameroon in 1990, Senegal in 2002 and Ghana in 2010.

Ghana is in group H with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
