Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes that his side can now talk of the quadruple following their FA Cup win over Chelsea FC.
The Reds had to go to post-match penalties to overcome Chelsea who had missed a host of chances in regular time.
The win sees Liverpool in contention for a quadruple after winning the EFL Cup earlier in the season and while Klopp has always been coy on speaking about his team’s capabilities of winning four trophies in a season, he couldn’t hide it anymore in his post-match presser.
“The quadruple thing is absolutely outstanding that we can talk about it. It’s crazy. It’s out of this world – this was game number 60 in an intense season,” Klopp said.
With two games left, Liverpool trails leaders Manchester City by three points and have a goal difference that is inferior by seven but despite their chances looking bleak towards winning the league title, they will be up for the Champions League trophy against Real Madrid in a fortnight.
The 54-year-old has become the first German manager ever to lift the FA Cup after edging out compatriot Thomas Tuchel in a Wembley final for the second time in less than three months.
