The Ghana number one has been a spectator for much of his period at Wigan and told KickOffGhana.com there are times it gets to him.
“I thought of taking a loan move but now it’s a family issue there. My son is schooling over there and I need to lay a good foundation for me. Sometimes I don’t feel myself. I want to play. In training I want to save every ball and prove that I am good but the chance hasn’t come and I am still waiting,” he said.
Kingston’s lack of playing time has not affected his Black Stars opportunities and he is adamant it will not affect his quality when he is called upon for the Nations Cup and the World Cup next year.
In the meantime he is taking a philosophical approach to his time on the bench at the premiership side.
“I know one day my time will come. I am patient but I am still working hard so that when my time comes I will do well. I don’t want to rush because it’s a little complicated.
“Whether I am playing or not I am focussed 100 per cent that I have to be ready every time so that whenever I get the chance to play I do that well.”
